6th Church of Christ Scientist
The 6th Church of Christ Scientist is the golden brick edifice that stands at
the Northwest corner of Columbia and Park Street. The congregation of this
architecturally stunning structure has graciously agreed to the use of a portion of their
parking lot at 10th and Columbia for the temporary storage of the Ladd Carriage
House.
The Church conducts services on Wednesday and Sunday and operates a Reading
Room at the Northeast corner of 10th and Columbia. The Christian Science
church, of which 6th Church is a branch, was established by Mary Baker Eddy ". .
. to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate
primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing."
