Much of the north side of the Carriage House was damaged in a fire in 1968, with the resulting loss of some detail and original material.  Small windows providing light for horse stalls may be in their original locations.  The large, multi-light window at the east end of the North Elevation was added in modern times. No photographic record exists to show anything but a small portion of the third floor window on the east side of this elevation.  The architects elected to add windows for light in the proposed office area and a required door for emergency egress.  It is not being proposed to replace the multi-light third floor window, despite the photographic evidence for a much smaller double-hung window in the original structure.

This single photo is the only photographic record found to date of the north side of the building.  It shows a much smaller window at in the third floor gable area, but very little information can be gleaned as to the exact configuration of that window.
