We began our mission to save the Ladd Carriage House in 2005. We would
like to acknowledge those partners who have worked with us to find a viable
solution for the building. The Move is only the first step in restoring
the Carriage House. We look forward to continuing our work with these
vital partners.
- First Christian Church
-
Since 1971, the First Christian Church has been the caretaker of
the building. Their current sanctuary is another treasure of the
cultural district. Their cooperation in the plan for returning the
Ladd Carriage House to its original site was absolutely essential in making
this a success story.
- Opus Northwest, LLC
-
Opus Northwest, LLC is the developer of the Ladd Tower and will
oversee the move and return of the Ladd Carriage House. Their
redevelopment program will bring another chapter to the Carriage House's
history.
- 6th Church of Christ Scientist
- The congregation of the 6th Church of Christ Scientist at the Northwest
corner of Columbia and Park provided the crucial piece of the puzzle in
saving the Ladd Carriage House -- where to store the building during the
excavation of the underground parking lot below its future site. The
Church graciously agreed to the use of a large portion of their parking lot at 10th and
Columbia for the temporary storage of the Carriage House for the next 16
months.

- Architectural Heritage Center
-
The Architectural Heritage Center (AHC) is a non-profit resource center
and showcase for historic preservation. Their inspiration and dedication to preserving
our built history is one of the keys to our success. Many of us are
also members and encourage you to join.
