The original timeline for the building expected that a buyer would have been found before the return of the building to its original site, thereby allowing the rehabilitation to meet a specific program to meet the new owners needs. With no owner having been found, rehabilitation has had to start regardless. To meet deadlines imposed by the Planning Bureau and the Historic Landmarks Approval processes, a rehabilitation plan was drawn up during late 2007. With the move impending, rehabilitation work being performed by Bremik Construction under contract with project manager Venerable Properties has begun. The current target is completion of the building shell and key interior services by April, 2009. Work completed prior to return move:
